Direction

A palette alone will not tell an illustrator where an exception belongs. Direction makes the Magus's taste usable across several assets: what the work should feel like, which visual rules support that intention, and how a candidate will be judged.

A reviewable visual system

atelier.establish_style_bible@1 can seal composition, shape, proportion, palette, material, light, camera, typography, motion, and exclusions where they apply. Reference observations inform those choices; they are not instructions to copy protected expression or imitate a named living artist.

Keep four layers legible: the intent seeking a response; attributable observations about references; the Magus's decisions, including controlled exceptions; and concrete tests of a candidate. Provider prompts, seeds, controls, and exploratory images may help discover the system without owning it. Accepted assets retain the exact direction revision used in their review.

Review and correction

A useful finding identifies the rule and whether the direction or its execution failed. atelier.revise_from_correction@1 admits a bounded forward repair of the appropriate layer. Conflicting rules, an impossible target, or exhausted correction produce exact non-completion.

atelier.presenter_calibration@1 may compare how a viewer or presentation changes perception. That evidence can inform a direction revision; it cannot edit an accepted asset or certify every display.

The resulting visual language guides Assets and Motion. Generation, spending, egress, publication, and a changed brief still require their own admission.
