Record what happened
Care can include feeding completion, water inspection, cleaning, confirmed transfer, and appointments. Preserve the intended work, subject and placement references, due window, actor, effective and recorded times, evidence, uncertainty, and outcome. Link professional instructions by exact reference and version. Clinical diagnosis and treatment decisions remain with the external professional authority; recording an instruction does not broaden it.
Physical work belongs to a human or separately admitted owner. Local controller safety wins. Distinguish proposed, confirmed, partial, missed, cancelled, interrupted, and unknown-effect work. A lost acknowledgment cannot justify repeating feeding, cleaning, or a transfer. Reconcile the effect and exact event identities first; record unresolved effects explicitly.
Receive collected material
A yield receipt records confirmed eggs, milk, or other collected material with source individual or group, collection-event identity and revision, actor, effective and recorded times, material, quantity and units, condition and uncertainty, and disposition. A hen group can remain a durable subject while successive collections produce separate receipts. Neither birth nor death automatically creates a product or stock lot.
Homestead separately accepts exact sourced lots, referencing the receipt. Keeper's collection record supplies no food-safety or consumption verdict and does not equate collection with acceptance into stores. Duplicate receipt delivery cannot create another collection or stock lot. Amendments preserve the original collection identity and trigger an explicit stock adjustment against prior acceptance.
Finish or hand off
Return the confirmed result, named partial completion, refusal, blockage, or unresolved physical effect. A care schedule can identify future work without extending this invocation indefinitely. On restart, recover the settled result and reconcile pending effects before retrying. When deletion is requested, stop schedules and disclosure and reconcile or hand off pending care obligations before authorized erasure; the animal's custody and welfare obligations remain.
