Utilities keeps the household's energy, water, gas or stored fuel, network, and device systems separately legible. It may observe, advise, or request an effect inside a commissioned envelope; observation alone never becomes authority to actuate.

Map and observe

homestead.map_site@1 maps the dwelling, water points, circuits, critical loads, generation, storage, gas or fuel service boundaries, network zones, devices, work zones, hazards, unknowns, and professional or permit needs into HomesteadPlan@1. homestead.observe_cycle@1 admits fresh bounded telemetry and weather, checks attribution, calibration, staleness, and contradiction, then updates a resource ledger or shows an honest gap.

Energy, water, fuel, habitat, network, camera, and embodied-node ledgers remain separate. A device report becomes an attributed observation, then a calibrated derivation, then a reconciled estimate; these stages are never collapsed into generic “home state.” Observations, calibration, forecasts, plans, alerts, approvals, commands, controller receipts, laboratory evidence, professional documents, and configuration keep independent revisions.

Gas and fuel remain observe-or-advise only in this reference contract; it defines no burner, combustion, or valve-control Pattern.

Balance without bypass

homestead.balance_energy@1 combines critical-load policy with PV, load, battery, grid, alarm, and forecast evidence. It may return reserve-aware advice or an exact set-point intent inside inverter, BMS, anti-islanding, thermal, fire, and electrician-set protection.

Local model or GPU work is a household load, never a critical service merely because it is intelligent. An energy balance may expose a finite surplus window to the owner of compute admission; it does not schedule a model job, grant peer authority, or let computation outrank refrigeration, habitat, communications, water, safety systems, or the household's declared battery reserve.

Follow the sun without moving the Lich

A later energy-aware coordination profile may offer delay-tolerant labor to a sovereign A2A peer when fresh local evidence shows surplus PV, admitted battery margin, and compatible compute. The offer is coarse, expiring, and bounded by energy, time, task class, and local resource policy; it need not reveal raw household telemetry. Before accepting work, the destination rechecks its own load, forecast, thermals, reservation, and safety margin. Homestead's local controller may narrow or refuse the window, and no remote scheduler may override that veto.

Only bounded labor and admitted artifacts cross. The Lich, its private Graph, identity, memory, household records, and infrastructure authority do not migrate with the Sun. Context and Security must separately permit any data egress; price or bounty cannot widen privacy, energy, or admission authority. This is a designed horizon for coordination, not a delivered energy market, fleet scheduler, or claim that remote work is greener without measured receipts.

homestead.guard_water@1 combines well, tank, pressure, quality, weather, and allocation evidence. Pump or valve intent stays inside dry-run, pressure, level, freeze, contamination, and reserve interlocks. No sensor result becomes a potability claim.

The freshest local BMS, inverter, pump, float, pressure, and fire veto always wins. Every effect binds asset and controller identity, configuration generation, commissioned envelope, live observations, preconditions, expiry, local reservation, expected postcondition, and compensation or containment. LychD sends typed requests, never prompt-produced shell, bus, GPIO, relay, or manufacturer API commands.

The household remains safe without internet, Wi-Fi, Master, model, or cloud. Lost acknowledgement is an unknown physical effect: recovery reads the exact controller and independent sensors before any repeat. Restore closes admission until clocks, controller generations, safety envelopes, pending effects, alarms, and local state reconcile. Replaced devices and changed calibration add new evidence rather than rewriting history.
